About the Program

The Love, Respect, and Value Her (LRVH) Cotillion is a culturally framed development program and celebratory event designed to help middle school youth, both Kings and Queens, embrace their identity, build emotional intelligence, and develop life skills rooted in self-worth and social responsibility.

This modern cotillion experience honors tradition while equipping participants with 21st-century tools to lead with grace, purpose, and power. Over the course of 12 weeks, participants engage in workshops that promote etiquette, leadership, community impact, and cultural identity and pride, all culminating in a signature Cotillion Presentation Ball.

Why It Matters

The program aims to expose Black and Brown youth to a world beyond their neighborhoods, breaking down barriers, challenging societal norms, and empowering them to navigate life with confidence and grace. In a society that often marginalizes their potential, LRVH creates a space where they are honored, uplifted, and equipped to lead.

It's more than a program—it's a rite of passage, a celebration of identity, and a launching pad for future success.
